John Beasley was married to Judy Beasley for over 40 years. They met when she was visiting her sister in Omaha, Nebraska, and they were married in 1972. They had two sons, Tyrone and Michael.

Judy Beasley was a deeply spiritual woman whose “faith walk” inspired her husband and sons. She was also a strong supporter of her husband’s career and was always there to cheer him on. She passed away in 2022.

In The Sum of All Fears, Beasley played General Lasseter, and in The Apostle, he played Reverend C. Charles Blackwell. In the 1992 film The Mighty Ducks, he played Jesse and Terry Hall’s father. In the 2004 remake of Walking Tall, he co-starred with The Rock.
